We diagnose problems and suggest solutions

The research carried out at Jagiellonian University, the discoveries, inventions and innovative solutions tend to be seen as the exclusive territory of science, its results not always of benefit to society at large. We want to change this perception, and point to areas of common action by the University, social partners, institutions, organisations as well as the city and the region, which may serve as the arena for innovation, improvements and growth. Whether these will be ideas on how to improve pedestrian communication, novel ways of preventing air pollution or in the process of communication between offices and citizens – we want to bring home the importance and benefits of cooperation between the University and its environment.

We respond to citizens’ needs

Jagiellonian University has a long-standing history of student support actions. We intend to go a step farther, to assist also JU alumni and citizens of Kraków with our knowledge and experience. Under our initiatives, we want to launch a series of e-textbooks, webinars or workshops, which will facilitate education and acquisition of new skills.

We initiate strategic partnerships

One of the key aspects of our action is our outreach to social partners and experts, especially in the area of initiatives in behalf of Kraków and its citizens. We believe that acting together with partners not only facilitates the implementation of important projects, but also helps bring together different perspectives and points of view, resulting in more innovative solutions. We are convinced that continuous exchange of experience will enable us to create a new quality in the work for the benefit of the University’s environment.
