Call #8 - "Minigrants for scientific activity for research teams within qLIFE PRA "
As part of the Strategic Programme Excellence Initiative at the Jagiellonian University (IDUJ) - Priority Research Area "Better research for better quality of life - qLIFE", announces the Call #8, which aims to finance research teams implementing a minigrant within the research field of the qLIFE PRA.
The team applying for funding must consist of at least two academic teachers, of which at least one meets the following conditions:
- is an employee of the Jagiellonian University Medical College or UJ-JCET, employed as a researcher or researcher and academic teacher
- has scientific achievements including at least 8 publications in journals listed in the List of scientific journals and reviewed materials from international conferences of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education
- holds at least a doctoral degree
The other members of the team participating in the project do not have to be academic teachers (they can be doctoral students or students).
Projects submitted for the call should be planned for no more than 12 months. The amount of funds allocated to the implementation of a single project is a minimum of PLN 25,000.00 and a maximum of PLN 50,000.00. The funds awarded as part of financing the project may be used only for the conduct of scientific research.
On behalf of the team, the applicant submits a research project that fits in the research field of the qLIFE PRA for evaluation. The description of the project must include:
- clearly defined research goal, within the research field of the qLIFE PRA,
- information on how the project fits into the 4*I Rule (interdisciplinarity, internationalization, innovation, integration), which is the keynote of the EI.JU programme,
- scientific reasons justifying undertaking a new or continuation of the current research topic,
- a brief description of the planned research with a schedule and cost estimate.
Applicants undertake to carry out a reliable review of a randomly selected maximum of 10% of applications submitted in this call, in accordance with the best knowledge and prepared evaluation rules, within 14 days from the date of access to the reviewed applications. The above is treated as cooperation within the call and is related to the statutory activity and scientific mission of the Jagiellonian University, and Applicants are not entitled to any additional remuneration under the Regulations for the performance of the above-mentioned reviews which the Applicants accept by entering the Competition.
The substantive evaluation of the submitted projects is made on the basis of the average of 2 reviews, carried out by randomly selected applicants, other than the applicant of the said project, and on the basis of the hard criteria presented in the call’s Terms and Conditions (standardized scientific achievements).
