qLife PRA Competition #1: Funding for scientific publications, under action 2: "Incentives Program”

Dear All,

Within the framework of the strategic programme Excellence Initiative at the Jagiellonian University, the Priority Research Area "Quality of research for the quality of life - qLife" launches Competition #1, aimed at reimbursing the costs of scientific publications submitted by JU employees to renowned scientific journals. 

Therefore, we invite applications declaring works that meet the quality criteria specified in the Terms & Conditions of Competition #1 and fall within the thematic scope of the qLife PRA:

  • social and civilization diseases (diseases of the central nervous system and cardiovascular system; metabolic diseases; cardiometabolic, neuroendocrine and cardio-oncological problems),
  • reproductive health,
  • regenerative medicine,
  • drug development and therapy optimization (in translational pathway from verification of therapeutic goals to early assessment of the effects in patients),
  • drug toxicity and safety assessment,
  • biopharmacy, pharmaco-economics and Health Technology Assessment,
  • eHealth,
  • models of coordinated/team patient care.

In particular, we are looking forward to receiving submissions of interdisciplinary scientific publications, integrating various research centres and resulting from international collaboration, as well as applying or discussing innovative technologies. 


The reimbursement of the costs of scientific publications under Competition #1 applies to publications affiliated at the Jagiellonian University Medical College or Jagiellonian Centre for Experimental Therapeutics (JCET).

The total competition fund is PLN 225,000. Each application can be awarded up to PLN 15,000.

Successful submissions will be selected by the qLife PRA Executive Team, headed by its Coordinator.

The call for submission is continuous, until the Competition #1 budget is exhausted.
