New rules for granting authorisations to process personal data within the ID.UJ programme

Dear All,

we kindly inform you that starting from March 2022, new rules for granting authorisations to process personal data under the ID.UJ programme come into force.

The ID.UJ Office will grant authorisations to:

  1. administrative employees responsible for handling the ID.UJ programme,
  2. UJ employees responsible for substantive management of the ID.UJ programme,
  3. other persons processing personal data, whose scope extends beyond the data processed within a single JU unit.

The need to grant authorisation within the above categories of persons should be reported to the ID.UJ Office in advance (at least 3 working days).

Heads of JU units (or Deputy Data Processing Specialists indicated by them) grant authorisations to persons substantially involved in the implementation of the ID.UJ programme, covering personal data processed within a given JU unit (JU employees, doctoral students, students, external contractors).

Detailed rules for granting authorisations to process personal data within the ID.UJ programme, as well as a model authorisation to be used within JU units, are presented below.
