Name of the PRA: Heritage PRA

Name of the action(s) under which the call is announced: Open access.

The call admits of publications concerned with any of the six research domains set out in the Strategy of the Heritage PRA . 

Prospective entrants: Proposals for funding under the call may be submitted by academic researchers employed by the Jagiellonian University, doctoral candidates enrolled at the JU Doctoral School, students of third-cycle studies commenced before academic year 2019/2020, and students of programmes offered by the JU.

Terms of entry in the call: In the programme funding may be received toward covering the costs of OA publication of a research paper planned for publication in an academic journal or in reviewed proceedings from an international conference, listed in the Inventory of academic journals and reviewed proceedings of international conferences published by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, as on the day of applying for funding of the paper, and is classified in a group with at least 100 ranking points.

Conditions to be met by the publications considered for funding:

• The article’s subject matter is consistent with the objectives and at least one research domain specified in the Strategy of the Heritage PRA, announced at www.id.edu.uj.pl;
• The text has been accepted for publication and received favourable reviews;
• The author has received the publisher’s confirmation that the work has been accepted for publication; 
• The author of the publication has declared the choice of the open access option. 

The call’s financial envelope is PLN 150,000. 

Submission dates and mode: Submissions, in an electronic form, are accepted at: https://strefaid.uj.edu.pl.

The call will open on 25 January 2021 at 4 p.m. The call is planned as a continuous call open until 2 July 2021 or until the exhaustion of funds. 

Dates and manner of announcing the results: information on funding award will be emailed within 14 working days of proposal submission. 

Important notice: Before entering the call we kindly ask you to check whether the fee for publishing an article in a given journal could be covered by the financial resources of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as a part of the Virtual Science Library (ICM).
