The DigiWorld PRA is announcing the launch of its call for research mini-grant proposals for the young in the DigiWorld PRA under the Strategic Program Excellence Initiative at the Jagiellonian University in the academic year 2020/2021.

The call seeks to stimulate the research potential of students on all levels of academic education.

We welcome submissions from all students and doctoral students of the Jagiellonian University.

The call entries are expected to cover basic or applied research addressing the strategic thematic areas of the DigiWorld PRA (see the ‘Priority Research Area description’ tab at: https://id.uj.edu.pl/digiworld) and to be given to innovation, interdisciplinarity and internationalization of the research, carried out with guidance from an academic supervisor (an academic teacher or research-assistance staff employed by the Jagiellonian University, holding at least a doctorate).

Each proposal may be granted funding for a period of 12 months in the maximum amount of up to:

• PLN 20,000 if the applicant is a atudent of a third-cycle programme or a student of a doctoral school,
• PLN 15,000 if the applicant is a student of a second-cycle programme or a student of at least the fourth year of an integrated master’s programme,
• PLN 10,000 if the applicant is a student of a first-cycle programme or a student of up to the third year of an integrated master’s programme.

The overall funding allocated in the call is PLN 525,000 (PLN 200,000; 225,000; and 100,000 accordingly under each of the above headings).

The call lis open for submissions, written in Polish or English, until 10 January 2021 deadline extended till 17 January 2021. Proposals are accpeted at https://digiworld.cm-uj.krakow.pl/ (log in with your university email account credentials) from 14 December 2020.

The results (ranking lists of the projects recommended in each category) will be announced on the website of the DigiWorld PRA within four weeks of the deadline for submissions. Within the same period, each applicant will be sent their project’s evaluation and its justification.
